STI's quality system is now certified by a third-party registrar to satisfy the ISO13485:2003 standard and CMDCAS (Canadian Medical Devices Conformity Assessment System) requirements. The ISO13485:2003 standard is an internationally-accepted quality standard that is specifically applicable to medical device businesses. The fact that STI is certified on its first attempt indicates that its quality system has been well-defined and well-implemented.

This certification allows the company to expand into international markets where local regulations require such certification.

STI begins distributing its Equine PDR v8.00 imaging software package through one of its OEM partners. The software package runs on a high-performance laptop with the Thales Flashscan 23 radiographic flat panel detector.

A X-Sight demo software is now available. Designed to run on most high-performance NT-based personal computers, the software is interactive and has the same "look, feel, and function" as the actual X-Sight products. It gives the user a good idea how the X-Sight products operate. The actual performance and functionality of the software, however, depend on the capabilities of the host computer. The company completed the renovation of its website at www.stalliontech.com. It features a new format that significantly enhances accessibility to company and product information. Last year, because of continued growth, the company opened up an additional office at the Syracuse business center located at 1201 E. Fayette St, Syracuse, NY. All engineering as well as some limited manufacturing activities are consolidated in the office. The main (official) office of the company is still located in Liverpool, NY, where company administration and some marketing and sales activities are conducted.
