Background
Founded in 1992, Stallion Technologies, Inc. (STI), a privately-held technology company, began as an engineering services firm. As a group of highly-dedicated technical people, it successfully performed a wide range of hardware and software design work for embedded computer, computing, communication, and medical applications. In 1995, STI expanded into the development, manufacture, and marketing of its own medical products. The primary intent of the expansion was to address some of the critical needs of the changing healthcare market by providing advanced yet affordable medical products.
Markets
STI creates digital imaging components and subsystems for the medical x-ray markets. Its product line covers mobile C-arm imaging, radiography & fluoroscopy (R&F), digital subtraction angiography (DSA), and cardiac imaging. The company delivers cost-effective products with uncompromised quality, performance, and functionality that are particularly suited to the needs of the radiology and cardiology community. With its personnel having over 70+ years of cumulative medical industry experience that spans imaging technique development, product design and manufacturing, and health care, the company is well-positioned to continue to provide products that meet the requirements of the rapidly changing medical x-ray industry.
Customers
The company is committed to establishing and maintaining long-term business relationships with OEMs, system integrators, and VARs. It seeks to become a technology partner in those relationships, where it can apply its strength in imaging technology to create innovative product solutions that meet or exceed the customers' requirements in such areas as performance, cost, time-to-market, quality, and service.
Performance
Since its entry into the medical product markets, STI has grown rapidly. Over the past four years prior to 2007, its gross revenue has grown on an average of about 40% every year. To accommodate this growth, it has increased the size of its facility and staff, which included the opening of a sales and support office in China in 2006. Its facilities and staff are used mainly for engineering, marketing, sales, and support activities. Its manufacturing resources have been and continue to be largely out-sourced. For at least the next three years, the company is projecting that the revenue will continue to increase at about the same rate.
